Riding tuition in the school
Available
on an hourly or daily basis or as
a 3, 4 or 7 night
inclusive holiday (Option E)
Instruction
Morning and afternoon lessons of your
choice, tailored to your interests, needs and objectives. Our goal is to
teach in an easily understood way the classical methods that have stood
the test of time. No gimmicks or ’techno-speak’. Depending on ability
you can ride quiet or more advanced horses. We offer novice classes
where age or standard of riding is unimportant, advanced lessons,
lateral work, flying changes, High School, piaffe, passage, levade,
work-in-hand & on the long rein, Doma Vaquera, driving, training
youngstock, stallion management, showing/presentation. You can choose a
combination of these. We expect you to enjoy a minimum of 2 hours
working with the horses each day and you are welcome to watch horses
work, or enjoy the centre’s facilities all day.
You can choose an intensive
Classical Riding option, with morning and afternoon one-to-one tuition
on our ‘schoolmasters’, or Doma Vaquera lessons.
For the intensive
‘Classical’ riding option (maximum 4 riders) there is a small surcharge

Instructors and Guides
The Horses
Predominantly Purebred Spanish horses, some Portuguese
Lusitanos and Tres Sangres. Our horses have great 'spirit', yet are
gentle and intelligent. You may learn as
much from the horses as from the instructors! Our more experienced
horses are capable of elevated movements and High School as well as good
extension and they move with lightness, collection and with excellent balance and
cadence. You have the opportunity to experience the horse of the 'masters' of years gone by.
More details of our horses can be found under the heading
'Horses' in 'Riding Holidays', or - Click here to
