Depending on the time of year, we may ride in the country during the mornings, working in the school in the afternoons, or vice versa.

Mornings or Afternoons - Riding in the Country.

Each day rides follow completelydifferent routes.

Expect 2 to 4 hours in the saddle, varied according to our

 rider's preferences.

There are miles of canters, or walking, or exploring off track

over the mountains, through pine woods etc.

You will ride on ancient tracks through spectacular

scenery, mountains and pine woods, sometimes teeming

with butterflies and birdlife (look out for eagles, hoopoes,

be-eaters) and rich in wildflowers during the spring, along

time-worn arroyos, through vineyards, olive, almond and

apricot groves and from the tops of our small mountains

enjoy huge views to the wide horizons.

Afternoons or Mornings - Riding in the School

You may wish to relax and simply enjoy one of our horses in the riding school, take individual lessons or take up one of our riding courses which we tailor to your particular objectives. Typical itinerary (7 night holiday)

Day one (Saturday)

We pick you up from Alicante or St Javier (Murcia) airport, or Albacete or Hellin train station and take you to your hotel.

Depending on flight arrival times, you may have time to unpack your bags, freshen up and enjoy a drink in the hotel’s bar before we collect you and take you to a local restaurant or to the riding centre for a 'welcome' meal, where you can meet other riders, relax, or discuss the riding or tours to come..

If your flight arrives after 18.00 then you may miss this first meal, but snacks are available at the hotels.

Day two (Sunday)

After your hotel breakfast we collect you and take you to the riding centre (approx 12/15 minutes drive) and initially have a ride in our school to get acquainted with the horses and to ensure we find you a good match. After lunch you can enjoy your first ride out in the country, or tour of the region if you have booked Option C.

Evening

If there is time after your ride (or tour) you can relax at our centre and bar. In the evening you have a choice; either we take you out for your evening meal at a local restaurant, or maybe at the Centre, or if you prefer we can take you back to your hotel where we will have organised a choice of meals for you and of course afterwards you can explore the town of Hellin, visit the bars and clubs or just enjoy a walk in the park. The choice is yours.

Days three to seven (Monday to Friday)

Mornings

After your hotel breakfast we collect you and take you to the riding centre to enjoy the riding activities you have booked, then perhaps watch the other horses or just relax in our bar area or patios. Riding in the school can include Doma Classica or Vaquera, work-in-hand, long-reining, work with the garrocha, driving, handling youngstock and/or stallions, depending on demand.

During 7 night all inclusive holidays on Wednesday mornings only we leave you free to relax or explore the market town of Hellin (morning market) and to get your own lunch in the town or at the hotel - this is the only meal not included in your holiday package.

Afternoons

Riding in the Country: Pace is set to suit our riders and there are miles of canters, or walking, or exploring off track etc. Each day the ride follows a different route, with different scenery and terrain, stopping for lunch at a remote village bar, or for a picnic out in the country or maybe back at the centre, depending on the length of ride. Expect at least 4 to 6 hours in the saddle on full day rides or around half this on half day rides, varied according to rider's preferences. We can take keen and competent riders on longer trails, with more hours in the saddle. You will ride on ancient tracks and mountain trails through spectacular scenery, teeming with butterflies and birdlife and rich in wildflowers during the spring, through pine woods, time-worn arroyos, through vineyards and olive, almond and apricot groves and from the tops of our small mountains enjoy breathtaking views to the wide horizon.

Evenings

If there is time after your ride (or tour) you can relax at our centre and bar. In the evening you have a choice; either we take you out for your evening meal at a local restaurant, or maybe at the Centre, or if you prefer we can take you back to your hotel where we will have organised a choice of meals for you and of course afterwards you can explore the town of Hellin, visit the bars and clubs or just enjoy a walk in the park. The choice is yours.
